I am ready to discuss the given choices if anyone cares to ask in the  comments.

  1. Hi,

Have you tried this set up with Essential Film Holder rather than the slide duplicator? Also not sure if one can omit the camera cage in a simpler setup.

    1. EFH is decent holder for vertical setup. I personally don't use it, but many folks do. I use cage to better preserve the camera body and mounting screw. Specialized cage also guarantees that lens axis is perpendicular to the Arca-Swiss mount on micro rail . You can go without it or - even better - use lens collar with arca-swiss mount to distribute weight of camera-lens more evenly.
