New 4x5 Targets are being considered

I am contemplating making 4x5 test targets for those who scan 😏.

Not even sure if there is any demand for that.

Anyway here is couple of prototypes I came up with . The idea for second design is to support multiple shots and stitching process.

Please let me know if you think this is needed, also design /layout considerations will be appreciated. Positive and negative targets will be available ( if folks decide it's worth the effort).

  1. Can these be used with a flatbed scanner to test for sharpness? Any thoughts on also creating IT-8 calibration charts?

    1. Certainly those targets can be used with scanner . See this post: https://film4ever-digital.blogspot.com/2021/08/use-vlads-test-target-to-fine-tune.html For IT8 everybody buys charts from Wolf-Juergen Faust at http://www.targets.coloraid.de/

  2. I think these would be an awesome idea; I regularly scan 4x5 film, and it would be nice to test my Epson set up ( and my eventual camera scans as well ).

    1. Roy, As things look right now I may have first batch of 4x5 somewhere at the beginning of the next week.
